Scavenging Hood System
Traces of Nitrous Oxide can lead to long-term health affects to the dental operators exposed to Nitrous Oxide on a long term basis. Results range from headaches to lack of concentration and co-ordination. More serious abnormalities reported include reduced infertility among dental operators.
This is the principle reason that Scavenging Systems are CRITICAL for use with nitrous oxide sedation in a dental surgery environment.
The Porter System solves the problem of exposure to Nitrous Oxide. Comfortable and extremely quiet, the unique design of the "double mask" prevent any cross between fresh and exhaled gases. It allows the patient to receive proper administration of Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide with normal respiratory effort.
What's more, the soft designs of the hood system allows x rays to be taken through the mask without the need to interrupt the Sedation process.
Rubber Goods The Hood and Smooth Tubing of the Porter System are fully autoclavable, the inner liner of the hood also available in a disposable scented version for single patient use to provide complete protection for your patient and save on the disinfection process.
Regulating the removal of the exhaled gases is critical to efficient scavenging. The Porter Scavenging Hoods System includes a vacuum control block for accurate control of vacuum flow. The compact design of the vacuum control block allows for simplified mounting to virtually any existing surgery vacuum system.
